Family Mission Control

Terms of Service

Draft, 16 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Family Mission Control, the family organiser app and the website at fmc.theworksholdings.com, operated by The Works Holdings, Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). By creating an account or joining a household you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What the app is

Family Mission Control lets a household keep its calendar, tasks, shopping, school runs, pets and helpers in one place, and lets the people in that household coordinate with each other. It is a planning tool. It does not replace your own judgement about the care and safety of your children, your pets or your home.

Accounts and households

You must be at least 18 to create an account and to own a household. Children do not have accounts; a parent or guardian enters and controls any information about a child. An owner can invite adults and helpers into the household and set their roles. You are responsible for who you invite, for what they can see and for removing them when they leave. Keep your sign-in email secure, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

Your content

Everything you and your household enter (names, events, tasks, lists, photos, messages, notes) belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store it, back it up and show it to the members of your household, so that the app works. We do not use your content for advertising, for training models or for anything else. You are responsible for having the right to add what you add, including photos of other people and details about other adults in your household.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to harass anyone, to store material that is unlawful, to monitor an adult without their knowledge, to attack or probe the service, or to share invite links or calendar links with people outside your household. We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. We will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Subscription, trial and payment

Each household has one subscription of AED 100 per month, or the equivalent shown in your store's currency. The first 7 days are a free trial. After the trial the subscription is billed monthly through the App Store or Google Play, on the payment method you keep with them, and it renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, since they take the payment. When a subscription lapses the household becomes read-only; the data stays for 90 days so you can export it or resubscribe, after which it may be deleted.

Availability and changes

The app is in its early life. We aim to keep it running around the clock but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, add or remove features, or stop offering the app, with reasonable notice inside the app. Where we discontinue the service we will give you at least 30 days to export your data.

Data

How we handle personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your data is stored on the operator's own server in Germany, there are no third-party analytics or advertising kits, and you can ask for deletion at any time.

Notifications and reminders

Reminders, pick-up alerts and daily summaries are sent as a courtesy. Delivery depends on your phone, its settings and the Apple and Google notification services, none of which we control. Do not rely on the app as the only reminder for anything that matters to a child's safety.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data that you have not exported, or for anything that happens because a member of your household acted or failed to act on information in the app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

Ending your account

You can leave a household or delete your account at any time from inside the app, or by writing to us. An owner who deletes the household deletes it for everyone in it, so we will ask you to confirm. We may close accounts that are inactive for more than two years after giving notice by email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app develops. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and any dispute will be heard by the courts of Dubai. Questions, complaints and requests go to [email protected]. The Works Holdings, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
